Funerals are continuing to be held for the 10 victims killed in the racist mass shooting in Buffalo on May 14.

The families of Geraldine Talley, Andre Mackneil, and Margus Morrison are laying their loved ones to rest on Friday (May 27), following a week of services for the shooting victims. Aaron Salter, the security guard who attempted to stop the gunman from entering the store, and Pearl Young, a beloved substitute teacher, were laid to rest on Wednesday (May 25). Roberta Drury, Katherine Massey, Celestine Chaney, and Heyward Patterson were buried on previous days.

A funeral for 86-year-old Ruth Whitfield, the mother of Buffalo's former fire commissioner, is scheduled for Saturday (May 28).

The victims leave behind families and a community, stricken with grief following the targeted attack on the predominantly Black neighborhood.

"It's like Groundhog's Day. We've seen this over and over again," Mark Talley, son of Geraldine Talley, said during a news conference after the shooting. "I constantly think about what could have been done."

Investigators are currently determining whether a retired federal agent had advance notice of the attack after uncovering evidence to suggest the agent's participation in an online chatroom where the accused shooter posted his plans roughly 30 minutes before entering the market.

Houston rapper Trae tha Truth visited the community and donated a truckload of groceries to the area since the Tops Market was the only grocery store in the area. Officials have not released when the store can be expected to reopen.
