Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R) is again likening former President Donald Trump to Jesus.

During a rally in Las Vegas on Sunday (June 9), Greene compared Trump to Jesus while discussing his felony conviction for hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels amid the 2016 election, per The Hill.

Trump is the first former president to become a convicted felon.

“The Democrats and the fake news media want to constantly talk about, ‘Oh, President Trump is a convicted felon,’” Greene told Trump supporters during Sunday's rally. “Well, you want to know something? The man that I worship is also a convicted felon, and he was murdered on a Roman cross.”

This isn't the first time Greene has compared Trump to Jesus. She made similar comments prior to his arraignment in New York last year.

“Trump is joining some of the most incredible people in history being arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested, served time in prison. Jesus — Jesus was arrested and murdered by the Roman government,” Greene previously said.

Trump said he intends to appeal his conviction. The former president is scheduled to be sentenced next month, just days before the Republican National Convention.
