New allegations have surfaced around the breakup between Love Island USA stars JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez.

On Sunday (July 27), news broke that Craig and Rodriguez, who met on Love Island USA season 6, had split after almost a year of dating.

Rumors swirled on social media as fans of the show speculated about the possible reason behind the breakup. On Tuesday (July 29), Craig released a statement addressing the split, describing the situation as "terrible, disgusting, and disappointing."

"As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together," Craig wrote on her Instagram Stories. "Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories, and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting, and disappointing it truly is."

"Discovering someone you loved isn't who you thought they were," she continued, "and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn't been genuine since day one has been truly devastating."

Shortly after Craig released her statement, Rodriguez broke his silence on the situation, suggesting that their relationship wasn't meant to "last long-term."

"The past few days have been incredibly difficult," Rodriguez wrote Tuesday. "I've been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately."

"Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term," he continued. "I'll always be grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created."

"I release this chapter with no ill will, only a hope that JaNa's path forward brings her nothing but happiness," Rodriguez added.

Rodriguez's statement set off a firestorm of responses from Craig's loved ones, including fellow Love Island USA stars and her close friend Charmane Smith.

On her Instagram Stories, co-star Leah Kateb accused Rodriguez of being a "racist clout/money hungry and a scammer since DAY 1!!!!”

Smith also hinted that Rodriguez made racist remarks against Craig and was using their relationship for "clout."

"My advice for women in relationships: if you have access – go thru your man’s phone TODAY. Search keywords like 'I don’t like black women, I thought I would get more money from this, I’m faking this relationship, going on the show would be for clout, I can’t wait to be done w this so I can f**k hella b*tches," Smith wrote on Instagram.

Craig hasn't confirmed the reason behind her split with Rodriguez, but said he was a "manipulative liar" in response to his initial statement.

"Stfu you manipulative liar. You not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!! My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off," she said Tuesday.
