A Fox News interview between host Sean Hannity and Tennessee state Rep. Justin Jones (D) escalated into a heated on-air confrontation as the two sparred over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

The exchange unfolded on Tuesday (January 20) when Jones criticized recent ICE operations, holding up a photo of masked agents during the segment.

“The America I believe in does not look like this,” Jones said. “The America I believe in does not look like masked men targeting people. Shameful!”

Hannity responded by accusing Jones of endangering ICE agents with what he called “reckless rhetoric,” taking particular issue with Jones’ past comparisons of ICE to the Ku Klux Klan.

“You are a disgrace! You are a disgrace!” Hannity shouted.

“Shame on you, my brother,” Jones replied.

“My brother, you’re a disgrace,” Hannity repeated.

As tensions swelled, Jones accused Hannity of misleading viewers for profit.

“You have that thousand-dollar suit on, you get paid millions of dollars to lie to people,” Jones said, as Hannity’s outro music began playing, an apparent attempt to cut the segment short.

Jones continued speaking over the music.

“The threat to the American people is in the White House,” the Democratic lawmaker said, noting that roughly 70 percent of immigrants detained by ICE had not been convicted of any crimes.

Jones went on to refer to ICE agents as “goons” and accused them of “kidnapping” people.

“Shame on you!” Jones said again. “God have mercy on you and anybody who believes it’s right — and your children will be ashamed of where you stand in this time, Sean.”

As the segment finally came to a close, Jones said he would pray for Hannity.

“We’re done,” Hannity said, ending the interview.
