Quarterback Jalen Hurts has led the Philadelphia Eagles to its second Super Bowl win in franchise history.

On Sunday (February 9), the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Eagles dominated against the Chiefs, shutting out Kansas City 24-0 at halftime. Deep into the third quarter, the Chiefs had still failed to put up any points against the Eagles' defense. Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who threw two interceptions, rallied to get his team back in the game but fell short with the 40-22 loss.

Sunday's championship game marked Hurts' first Super Bowl win. Hurts and the Eagles, coached by Nick Siriani, crushed the Chiefs' chances of securing three back-to-back championships. Super Bowl LIX was also a rematch of the Eagles-Chief championship game in 2023, which ended with the Mahomes taking home the Lombardi trophy.

Hurts, who threw for three touchdowns and 221 yards, was crowned this year's Super Bowl MVP.

"God is good, he's greater than all the highs and lows. I think personally myself I've just been able to use every experience and learn from it," Hurts said in post-game remarks.
